Happy New Year! Well, the first thing I have to update on isn't news, it's a birthday greeting! Eddie has his birthday on the 15th January (he'll be 27) so Happy Birthday Eddie!
The update for today is that Eddie attended the 31st Annual People's Choice Awards, which took place last Sunday. I've found some pics of Eddie taken on the red carpet, and added them to the gallery.
I'd also like to say thanks to the kind people who've been emailing me with updates about Eddie's TV appearances, I really appreciate it! If you've got any news about Eddie, please let me know!

Some great news to start this update is that CSI:NY
debuted to some great viewing figures, and apparently got the highest number of viewers of any new show so far this season. Which I'm sure we'll all agree is fantastic news!
Onto the site update then, and I've added an interview with
Eddie from the Times Record News. I'm also trying
to get my hands on a copy of the latest issue of
US Weekly, as this contains a pic and a snippet
of info about Eddie. If anyone happens to have
a copy and could get a scan, I'd be grateful if
you could email me.

Whilst browsing the web, I've come across a couple
of old articles about Eddie. Thanks to the Felicity
site Dear
Sally, I've added a transcript with Eddie from the WB
about Glory Days, as well as an old TV Guide article,
after his appearance on Friends.
As well as these, I also found a scanned article
from a 2002 issue of Seventeen magazine, I'm not sure where this
scan originally came from, so if anyone knows please contact
me so I can add the appropriate credit. All
of these I've added to the articles section,
so please take a look!
Finally, Getty Images has a few new photos from
CSI:NY, a couple of portraits of Eddie as Det.
Flack, and also some stills from the season premiere "Blink". I've
added these to the gallery.
(These images still have the Getty watermark on
them, as unfortunately I don't have the money
to afford to buy these properly!)

I've
managed to find a copy of the September 10 issue
of Entertainment Weekly and I've created a scan
from the photo they have of the CSI:NY cast (see
right, click to enlarge). They've also got a couple
of quotes from Eddie:
- "...New York native Eddie Cahill is, in real life, a
lot closer to his role as aggressive Det. Don Flack
than he was to his part as Rachel's corn-fed boyfriend
Tag on Friends. "I
didn't get a lot of scripts that said 'New York City
detective,'" he
says. "This is my pulse."
- .."In the first script, the word putrefaction came
up, and I made the mistake of looking it up on the
Internet," says
Cahill. "It came with pictures. That was the most grossed out I've
been."
Eww. Anyone else tempted to look that word up
then?? Thought not! If you see any other articles
about Eddie or CSI:NY, it'd be great to hear
from you!

Welcome to the newly launched eddiecahillonline.com,
thanks for visiting! Please let me know what you
think of the site, I'd welcome any comments, so please contact
me.
The first update of this site obviously concerns
CSI:NY, which I'm sure everyone's excited about
seeing. I've posted the premiere dates on the front
page, but just so no-one forgets, the premiere
dates are September 22nd, for the USA that's 10pm
ET/PT on CBS, CTV at 10pm (8AT/MT - 9CT) for Canada.
The September 10 edition of Entertainment Weekly
has a fall TV preview featuring CSI:NY. Apparently,
EW had the cast dress up in 1940's period costume
for the photos, if anyone has got this issue
and could scan the pics, I'd be grateful if
you could send them over. I'll give you full
credit of course!
I should state that I live in England and unfortunately
won't get to see CSI:NY until it airs here, so
I'd really appreciate it if people could give me
a heads up of any TV interviews, articles or
news that I might not be aware of this side of
the pond. I'll of course keep this site updated
with all the info I can find out, but if you
hear of anything you think I should add to the
site, please let me know!
